The Colombia tour Experience for Christmas!

As many people in Boquete like expats are lookin at Colombia as the new destination for a short trip or even to move for good. The reason is Colombia became so famous for the great experiences has to offer and how covenient is to flight over from Panama city to the makor cities like Bogota, Medellin and Cali.

Since I am Colombian and I am also so proud to live and be part of the amazing community of Boquete I decided to start a real customized tour to experience the best of some of the main cities or states in Colombia like Antioquia where is locate Medellin.

Medellin as many people unfortunately knows for the war cartel between Pablo Escobar back in the 80's and early 90's is also well know today for being one of the most modern cities in Latin America!

The transportation system, the civic people, the delicious food, the beautiful architecture, the cool places to visit and the commiment of the police to make sure you and your love ones have a wonderful time :)

It has being couple years that I have being trying to start doing this and give back something to my own people and promote my home country in the most positive way it's possible for everyone.

Other reason why Colombia is getting so famous is the currency! In colombia the currency is colombian pesos which right know is about $1 dollar is equal $3.000 at times which makes a lot of great value and every foreigner is not attached to pay taxes when you buy goods, so you will save 16% tax for every purshace you make of course in stores where the take credit card for example or formal businesses, not the ones on the street :) ( They don't charge it jeje )

I already did 2 trips this year and it was a blast let me tell ya! The last one on the flower festival that was this past August, we got to see why is called the flower city in Colombia.

Open parks, cool events, Orchids exhibicion, live concerts and much more!

This coming December we doing the Christmas light tour in Medellin and to make it more special, we are visiting couple amazing locations just few hours away from the city.

Los Andes and the town of Jardin! This trip we will start it leaving from Panama city on the 7th of December, we will be staying at the Acqua Express right at the best area of Poblado area, where you you will have access to several restaurants, coffee shops, clothing stores, bars and is very secure is well.

tne next day ont the 8th, we will be visiting the Botero park and the museum to learn about this famour artist tha made the Gorditas ( chubby people ) so famous and relates a lot of the Colombian history on his sculptures and paintings.

We will return to the hotel and wait until is getting a bit dark and by 5:00 pm we will head to the most beautiful locations to see the Christmas lights and the Candles light the people burn on this night celebrating the Holly Marie day, here in Panama Mother's Day.

In the Colombian culture, on the 8th we start the celebration and the ambiance of Christmas! Food stands, cultural events for kids and adults are available during the whole month but surely we will get the best of it!

The next morning on the 9th after breakfast we will leave the hotel and take the private transportation to the Finca Los Arrayanes but before on the way we will stop at the main square of the town Los Andes to take some pictures and why not, maybe to have a Tintico! ( little cup of coffee ) We will do a coffee in this particular farm which by the way this tour is included in the package. You will have access to a swimming pool, coffee trails for hiking, and just relax reading a book next to the River or by the pool.

The meals in this farm are 100% home made with fresh trout or other options depending your taste :)

The next day after we had enjoy a delicious breaskfats we will head up to the town of Jardin ( Garden ) this town doesn't need much to sell it self, as soon you arrive you will see what I am talking about!

The great colonial architecture and the gotic style church in the middle of the town invite everyone to just chill and sit wherever you feel like to take pictures, have a coffee, maybe a beer or why not couple shots of Aguardiente!! (spicy water ) jeje. one good thing about all this trip is that I will be side by side next to you to make sure you fully understand the culture and have a great time too!

After having a great day in Jardin and staying there for one night we will return to Medellin the following morning after breakfast without rush of course and have quite evening in Medellin or not if you decide to go out , not worries I got your back :) the next day on the 12th will be off so you can have some freedom and go for shopping or just relax but if you decide to do another activitie or to visit another place, just let me know I will make that happen for sure!

After those many days of great experiences we will be ready to flight back to Panama city on the 13th but hoping to take to another destination your next visit to Colombia!!!

This trip is not to miss and you will not regret it in your life!

I hope to hear from you :)

See you soon!!

Oscar,
